time and society for parva venom

To start with our concept it has to be said that Parva Venom is nothing you can chose to wear!

Parva Venom is a bio-technologcial weapon which is used by the government(controlled by large cooperations) to control human kind.

In 2015 our bodies are hurt by the synthetic foods we are forced to consume. Although urban farming etc made an imporvement for some time, the larger crowd chose the generated supermarket. We become pale and our bodies are undernurtured of real food components. We are starving and at the same time human kind has never been fatter.

But water, water is something pure which we dare to consume, and have to. Some countries are still lucky to be able to consume their own tap water, but in most places we are forced to buy bottled sterelized water. Steralized? Hah! That's what we thought. Bottleled water is owned by cooperations which, as I mentioned above, are allied with the governement. Companies are the mighest sponsors of the governement.

Parva Venom is a mixture of the guinea worm, which travels thorugh water, and a mind control set. By consuming water the worm travles thorugh our bodies and takes from as a necklace under our skin which suffocates our brains and makes obey to whatever tasks and behavior we are told to be. We become emotionless, loners. Relationships are gone and we become servants, zombies. Since our need for happiness and individualism is drained we will become a around the c'clock working society, like batteries, only stopping to recharge. Life will be empty, but the ones of us controlled will not take notice. There will be a few rebels leftover, probably former outcasts of the society, who will try to fight, but mainly survive world control.

During the research I started to think about communism, the wish that anyone would have the same. This does of course not work because one of our basic needs are individualism and self realisation. Therefore Parva Venom was created. There will be no place for the sick and weak anymore.

With a conductive thread, leds, and a tiny generator we tried to create a electronic garment. The conductive thread which had to be hand stitched from the lamps and through different componenets which then would lamps to work. This was very hard! The descriptions seemed pretty easy to follow, but it was still veyr confusing to follow the different directions of the conductive thread had to lead. This led to repetitive mistakes and messiness! But it was still very cool to learn how these things are actually made, although we did not make the lamps turn on. i never heard of something such as conductive thread, but that fact definitly made me curious. Also that the tools to create something like this are easy to get your hands on, you just need to understand and follow the technical part well and understand it. But it reminded me a bit of physics class in high school, which I sucked at. Althoguh the basics might ahve been the same, this was way more interesting and I always like to understand how things are made!

Multiplex TransNatural expo Amsterdam

Last Wednesday the Lifestylers from WDKA went to Amsterdam to explore the Transnatural exposition at Trouw Amsterdam. Here technology and nature were united to fight together for our future, and not against each other. Interestingly enough these two sides have been divided, we could only chose one or the other. There were several advanced and creative designs shown, one weirder than the other.
The expo starts with the MudTub by Thomas Gerhardt which is a organic interface which is used to control a computer. Whatever you do with your hands, beating, stirring, waving in it, the user can play several different, basic games. Extremely interesting way to control and lead a computer!
You cannot oversee Daniela Bershan's Gardening, which is a structure made out of stretched rubber bands. The garden reacts to small changes and creates new forms. It was both really nice to look at and to play with.
Bit.fall by Julius Popp is an information flow of words through a waterfall. The drops are pixels, forming a letter. It is a very impressing work, almost functioning as a scultpure full of statement.
Biojewllery by Tobie Kerridge is bone tissue grown outside the body, which usually is used for surgical matters.
My favorite artists at that exposition was Joan Healy. She had created Hairy Banjo, where she had used her own hair to form strings such as from a msucal instrument. The strings are connected to microphones, there is a headset which you can wear to listen to your compositions. Those are also connected to a cassette player where you can enjoy other's songs.
Joan Healy made MeatMarket, which is a psychadellic filled fridge with pieces of meat which repsond to the beat of the music the radio is playing. Connected to it with wires it bounces up and down, just as we do at dance clubs. This refers to the kind of clubs where there is a huge sexual tension, and people just looking for, meat. MeatMarket rises questions about society's view on sex and the ethics of eating animals.
What I liked the most about this exposition was artists using new technology for their own visions, making it available and approachable for society. We could play and have fun with the technologcial developments and the featured nature made it recognizable and easier to undertstand. Most importantly it was FUN and definitly an experience I won't forget!

choker, necklace. through tab and drinking water controlled by the world leading cooperations a virus is spread to humanity. it become viewable around the neck, choking and controlling your mind of working on its own. it makes you adapt to the governement, and therefore companies. (since those control goverments). it makes you get rid of anger and rebelliousness. humanity will fall in line with the expectations given to us. world domination will be unstoppable.
